A Drop & Merge Puzzle Where the Floor Rises
DropUp turns the merge puzzle into a drop game. A numbered block waits above a 5×7 grid. Drag left or right to choose a column, release, and it falls to the bottom. If it lands next to a block with the same number, on either side or underneath, the two fuse into one block worth double.
The rising floor
Every few drops the whole board slides up one row and a fresh row of blocks slips in from the bottom. The run ends when a rising row pushes a block past the ceiling, or when every column is full.
Watch the dots
The dots beside NEXT count the drops left before the floor rises. When only a couple of drops are left they turn red, and any column touching the ceiling gets a red outline.
Tips
- Check the dots before every drop; clear tall columns first.
- Use the dashed ghost block to see where a block will land and which blocks it will merge with.
- A run can end even when the other columns are nearly empty, so do not ignore a tall column.
How DropUp scores
Your score is the value of every block you create. The ×2, ×3, ×4 banner counts how many merges one drop set off; it does not multiply the score, but a long chain still pays because each merge creates a bigger block. As your highest block grows, the smallest number retires: blocks below MIN leave the board and score their value on the way out.
Lives, boosters and saving
You hold up to five lives, and each new run costs one. A life comes back on its own every 30 minutes; you can also watch an optional ad or spend coins for a refill. Coins, boosters and your best score are saved to an anonymous account automatically — sign in with Google once to keep them on another device.
Why did my run end early?
Every few drops the floor rises one row. If that rise pushes any block past the ceiling, the run ends at once — even when the other columns are nearly empty. Filling every column also ends it. The fix is the same both times: watch the dots, and bring your tallest column down before they turn red.
Good to know
What are the dots next to NEXT?
They count the drops left before the floor rises. When only a couple of drops are left they turn red and flash, and any column touching the ceiling is outlined in red — clear it or the rise ends your run.
Why did my run end when the board wasn't full?
Every few drops the floor rises one row. If a rising row pushes a block past the ceiling, the run ends right away, even if the other columns are nearly empty. Watch the dots and clear tall columns first.
Does the ×2, ×3 combo multiply my score?
No. The ×n banner counts how many merges one drop set off. Your score is the value of every block you create, so a long chain still pays because it creates bigger blocks.
How do lives work?
You hold up to 5 lives and each new run costs one. A life comes back on its own every 30 minutes. You can also watch an optional ad or spend coins for a refill.
