About the game

What is Pulse Roll?

Pulse Roll is an endless 3D runner set on a neon synthwave highway. Drag left or right to steer a glowing plasma orb between the blocks, and keep it on the road for as long as you can. Passing close to a block without touching it is a Graze: it scores, builds your combo and charges the Pulse bar. When the Pulse is full the orb goes Overdrive for a few seconds, speeding up, smashing straight through blocks and scoring double. Ramps launch you over holes in the road, Shields save you from one crash or fall, and shards collected along the way unlock eight orb skins. As your score climbs the road moves through five zones, from Boulevard and Bridge to Tunnel, Skyline and finally the Void, where the whole city turns upside down, each with its own colours and beat. Three missions at a time give you something to chase in every run, and reaching new zones relights the city for good.

How to play Pulse Roll

STEP 1

Drag to steer

Drag left or right anywhere on the screen to move the orb across the road. Hitting a block, or rolling into a hole, ends the run.

STEP 2

Graze for Pulse

Skim past a block without touching it to score a Graze. Grazes build your combo and charge the Pulse bar on the left; shards add a little too.

STEP 3

Go Overdrive

When the Pulse bar is full the orb goes Overdrive: it speeds up, smashes through every block and scores double until the rainbow trail fades.

STEP 4

Ramps, holes and Shields

Ramps throw the orb into the air to clear holes in the road. Grab a Shield to survive one crash or fall.

Good to know

Is Pulse Roll free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.

How do I control the orb?

Drag left or right with a finger or the mouse. The orb rolls forward on its own and speeds up as you go deeper.

What is Overdrive?

Grazing blocks charges the Pulse bar. When it is full, the orb goes Overdrive for a few seconds: faster, unbreakable and worth double points.

What are shards for?

Shards unlock new orb skins and count toward missions. You collect them on the road and earn more by finishing missions.

Can I keep going after a crash?

Sometimes. When an ad is available you can watch one to keep rolling, once per run. Otherwise a crash ends the run and you can start again straight away.
