About the game
What is Sky Stitch?
Sky Stitch is a calm line puzzle set under a night sky. Each colour has two ringed stars: drag a thread from one to the other through every star of that colour, moving one step in any of eight directions. Threads may never cross, not even two diagonals inside the same square, so the colours have to share the sky carefully. The puzzle is solved when every star on the board has a thread. Later boards add knots, small dotted stars where any thread may pass and where threads are allowed to cross, as long as each knot is crossed exactly as many times as its dots show. Every solved puzzle lights a star in your own collection of constellations, and from level 16 a new Tonight's Sky puzzle is shared by every player each day. There is no timer and no way to lose, and the levels never run out.
How to play
How to play Sky Stitch
STEP 1
Start at a ringed star
Each colour has two ringed stars. Drag from one of them to a neighbouring star of the same colour, in any of eight directions.
STEP 2
Pass through every star
Lead the thread through every star of that colour and finish on the other ringed star. A thread can never pass through a star of another colour.
STEP 3
Never cross
Threads may not cross each other, including two diagonals in the same square. Plan which colour takes each gap before you commit.
STEP 4
Use the knots
Dotted knots are the only place threads may cross. Any colour can pass through, and each knot must be crossed exactly as many times as its dots.
STEP 5
Fix a wrong turn
Drag back along a thread to erase it step by step, or tap its ringed star to redraw that thread from the start.

Good to know
Is Sky Stitch free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser on phone or desktop, with no download or sign-up.
Can I lose or run out of time?
No. There is no timer, no move limit and no way to fail. Take as long as you like on every board.
Can threads cross each other?
Only on knots. Everywhere else threads must stay apart, and two diagonals that would cross inside the same square block each other too.
How are stars awarded?
Solve a puzzle without hints for three stars. Using one hint gives two stars, and two or more hints give one.
What is Tonight's Sky?
A daily puzzle that is the same for every player. It unlocks once you finish level 16, and each day you solve adds a shooting star to your sky.
Is there a hint?
Yes, from level 3. A hint shows the next three steps of one thread that still fits what you have drawn, and it is unlocked by watching a short ad.
Does the game ever end?
No. New boards keep coming, so there is always another constellation to stitch.
